An Optimization of Airline Scheduling Systems Based on a New Airline Pilots’ Fatigue Assessment Algorithm

چکیده
Flight safety reports from different sources indicate that the proportion of accidents caused by flight fatigue accounts for 6-11% all types accidents. Current regulations in civil aviation industry across world generally emphasize length working hours rather than influences circadian rhythm disorders. Based on an analysis mission data 567 pilots 2019, which highlighted associations between disorders and fatigue, we have proposed a new algorithm to reflect pilots’ status include five main indicators: actual hours, disorders, work disorder, altitude crew composition. The results assessed reported about 70% airline studied were under threat high risk 2019. Subsequently, this research suggests use two algorithms optimize pilot scheduling systems, findings show percentage with level can be largely reduced.

Sleep complaints and fatigue of airline pilots
This work aimed to determine daytime sleepiness and sleep complaints prevalence and the corresponding influence on perceived fatigue and to evaluate the influence of sociodemographic parameters and labour variables on sleep complaints, sleepiness and fatigue. A questionnaire was developed including socio-economic and labour issues and instruments, focused in sleep and fatigue. The response rate...
متن کاملHuman Interactions Affecting the Psychological Preparation of Airline Pilots
Aim: The purpose of the present study was to explain the human interactions affecting the psychological preparation of airline pilots. Methods: Qualitative approach and thematic analytical method was used to conduct this study. The study population in this research were the pilots of an airline company in Tehran in 2019. In order to gather the necessary data, pilots were selected through purpos...
متن کاملThe sleep, subjective fatigue, and sustained attention of commercial airline pilots during an international pattern.
International commercial airline pilots may experience heightened fatigue due to irregular sleep schedules, long duty days, night flying, and multiple time zone changes. Importantly, current commercial airline flight and duty time regulations are based on work/rest factors and not sleep/wake factors. Consequently, the primary aim of the current study was to investigate pilots' amount of sleep, ...
متن کاملIncidence of cancer among commercial airline pilots.
OBJECTIVES To describe the cancer pattern in a cohort of commercial pilots by follow up through the Icelandic Cancer Registry. METHODS This is a retrospective cohort study of 458 pilots with emphasis on subcohort working for an airline operating on international routes. A computerised file of the cohort was record linked to the Cancer Registry by making use of personal identification numbers....
متن کاملIntegrated airline scheduling
Airline scheduling is composed of fleet assignment, aircraft maintenance routing, and crew scheduling optimization subproblems. It is believed that the full optimization problem is computationally intractable, and hence the constituent subproblems are optimized sequentially so that the output of one is the input of the next. The sequential approach, however, provides an overall suboptimal solut...
